Are you preparing to take the big post office exam in an attempt to retain employment? Like it or not, it is but one of the many required steps of the entire hiring process you will go through especially if you are trying to get a job in the clerical or data entry field.

A high score on this test is very important because there are a lot of people applying for these same jobs, making competition very tough. Scoring way above the required minimum is important to secure employment consideration.

Studying is obviously key here, but getting plenty of rest before test time is also important. Never sit up all night doing last minute studying will only lower the score you will end up getting so go to bed early and space out all your study time well in advance.

It is best to do what you can to control your test anxiety as well. Being over stressed right as you go in to test often results in rushing and a lack of clarity which both lead to a lot of wrong answers. Control your breathing and try to relax, just go in and do what you need to do.

Focus is very important while you are taking the test so don’t get distracted by other things. If your stuck on a question don’t start gazing out the window and definitely don’t be worried about something that is going on at home at the money. Focus solely on the questions you need to answer and have faith in yourself and your abilities.
